Abia Angels FC Celebrates Falconets Call-Up for Onyedikachi Ekezie and Winner Onajite David

Abia Angels FC Aba is delighted to announce the Onyedikachi Ekezie Falconets call-up, alongside teammate Winner Onajite David, among the 21 players selected for Nigeria’s U20 Women’s National Team ahead of the 2026 FIFA U20 Women’s World Cup in Poland.
The Falconets departed Nigeria on the night of Monday, 24th August 2026, and touched down in Poland on Tuesday, 25th August, to begin final preparations for the global tournament. The team will be based at Hotel Trzebnica in Trzebnica, where they will fine-tune their tactical and technical readiness before their Group F opener against Spain on 7th September, followed by matches against China PR on 10th September and New Caledonia on 13th September.
This call-up is a proud moment for the entire Abia Angels family. It reflects the hard work, discipline, and talent our players have shown and stands as a testament to the club’s commitment to developing young footballers capable of representing Nigeria on the world stage.
The Falconets, two-time World Cup silver medallists (2010, 2014), qualified for this year’s tournament with victories over Rwanda, Senegal, and Malawi. Nigeria remains the only African nation to have featured in every edition of the competition since its inception, and this year’s squad will be aiming to go all the way and clinch the country’s first title in the tournament’s history.
